Okay, so I’m going to be using lyrics from “The Suffering” entry titles for awhile. It’s my goddamn right.
And how did you kids like “The Suffering?” Rocked your balls off, huh?
On to the news…
Woke up with the theme to Guys and Dolls blasting in my head this morning. I don’t know how that happens. I guess sometimes you just wake up on Broadway.
When you see a guy reach for stars in the sky, You can bet that he’s doing it for some doll!
Credibility… reaching… ZERO!
Going to kinko’s tonight to get the laser print of Rundberg and have it bound. I also need to talk to Dan and Zan about a project I’d like to set up at Frequency. Should be fun.

Trendy atmosphere, tasty chicken tenders and Texas Toast, refreshing iced tea…
…But the dining room smells like sewage.
Rating: I think I’m gonna be sick!
Special Sunday Post (and Monday and Tuesday, too) i’m leaving this up until Wednesday to make sure every last one of you motherfuckers goes to the Coheed and Campria Purevolume site. Go there now and listen to their new single “The Suffering.” the best song I’ve heard in a long time. It’s like falling in love while smoking crack or something. It’s not just a song, it’s fuggin’ experience!
Listen well, will you marry me?
And are you wearing the suffering?
You’ve been the most gracious of hosts.
I may be invited, girl, but I’m not coming in.
Ugh. Our air conditioning went out yesterday. It couldn’t have gone out when the temperature was in the eighties, no. Had to wait until we were hovering around the 100 mark. It’s like our duplex actively hates us or something. On top of that, our land lord is out of town this weekend, so we have to have Shawna’s dad cmoe over to let in the service guys and keep the dogs from eating them.
And the dogs. Ugh. The patience really goes downhill fast when you spend most of the night lying awake in bed and sweating.
The Katrina thing. I haven’t donated any money yet. I need to make sure it’s something that goes directly to the relief effort. I also need to balance my horror over the chaos in New Orleans with my desire to go check it out. What the fuck’s wrong with me?
John Layman (writer/lover of both cats and water) has an excellent resource guide for Hurrican Katrina, the Iraq War, and how the administration is allowing both to happen.

Check this page out a bit. Look at the photos and read their captions. Notice anything? Let me break it down.

Man, that media is liberal as the day is long!

A short story popped in my head on the way home from work yesterday. I went home, poured myself a White Russian, and booted up the computer. An hour or so later, I had a first draft done. I love it when little story bombs go off in my personal space. It’s electrifying.
What’s the story about? You’ll have to wait.
