Stuff to Read: Now and Soon
Posted on November 2, 2005
And now, a quick rundown of stuff I have available or available soon. In some cases, more info is available in The Bibliography.
“An Absurd Story About Demon Summoning” is currently available (for free!) at Horrorfind.com.
A Trip to Rundberg will be available this weekend at Wizard World Texas. I’ll be selling copies in Artist’s Alley, and copies are available at FrequencyPress.com. A Trip to Runderbg will hit comic shops in February 2006. Find your local comic shop and preorder it in December, when it will be available through Previews.
Ruined, a collection of my short stories, will also be available this weekend at Wizard World Texas. Ruined contains the out of print stories “Hell Inside” and “Digging,” as well as a “The Dixie Stand,” which was previously only available to those on my Christmas Card list. Limited to fifty numbered copies with a cover price of only $2.00! Copies will be available for online purchase shortly.
“Silent Corners” will be available soon in issue three of Trunk Stories. This is a fun one. Strange geography, is all I’m saying.
“A Team-Building Exercise” will be available in December at Aoife’s Kiss. This is a nasty one. You’ll like it.
“The House on Toledo Street” will also be appearing in December, this one at Wicked Karnival. “Toledo Stret” was actually my first sale, but the magazine I sold it to went under. Lucky me, the fine folks at Wicked Karnival were there to scoop it up. This one is available both online and in print. Order a print copy and send these guys some money!

We Hate the Funk

Y’know, I’d better not publish what I originally wrote today. I’m in a bad mood.
It would probably be best if you all just came back tomorrow.

Everything’s Tuesday
Posted on November 1, 2005
Had a pretty good Halloween, watching movies with Shawna and handing out comics to the kids who came to the door (almost half of which actually wearing costumes!). I hope to live in a busier neighborhood next year, so I can have more than fifteen trick or treaters.
Over at Brian Keen’s blog, he’s talking about his latest promotional ploy, pretending to be the up and coming author Adam Senft, and how freakin’ tough it is to get people to pay attention to you when you’re a new author, even if you’re a best-selling author just pretending to be a new author. Yeah, I’ve been there. Shit I am there. I just had an interview go up at The Pulse two weeks ago, and the only person to post a comment was my artist!
It looks like A Trip to Rundberg will appear in next month’s Previews. I don’t know if there will be an ad in there or not. Nobody can seem to get a clear answer on advertising rates. I’ll have one designed regardless. I’ll be doing something to get everybody’s attention. Maybe I’ll beat up Randy Lander in Dallas this weekend. The fanboys will cheer me, and I’m sure Randy will be up for it.
