Ah, cold weather

Posted on December 5, 2005

In a startling turn of events, it looks like it will be in the sub-80’s for more than a single day this week. Could this be a start of the Austin season I call “Not Quite Summer?” You will have to wait and see, but rest assured, I’ll keep you all informed.

Found out the hard way (but not too hard) that buying the $50 big bottle of Knob Creek is not the best way to promote activity over the weekend. I ended up slacking hard. If it weren’t for the Bill Hicks CD I received Saturday night, I’d probably be depressed.

Saw on Brian Keene’s blog today that he had to pull the comic book adaptation of his novel The Rising away from its publisher. That’s a damn shame. I hate to see that happen to anybody. I never really trusted that publisher, though. They had a few high profile projects, but never had more than a message board. Weird, huh?

In other news, though, Brian says some comic book publisher is going to be adapting some of his short stories into a comic series. That could be cool. I’m just distrubed enough to want to see an adaptaion of “Castaways.”
